Drainage & Water searches (CON29DWs)
At ETSOS, we source our reports direct from the water companies of England & Wales. As the owners of regional water data, they are in the unique position of being able to offer accurate, up-to-date drainage and water information.
The content of the CON29DW Drainage and Water searches has recently been enhanced. A working group consisting of the Consumer Council for Water, Communities and Local Government and the Law Society have compiled these additions and amendments. As a result, searches will now consist of 25 questions. The main purpose is to increase the amount of information available to homebuyers, and improve consumer protection.
The first two sections of the new search report will provide information including who prepared the report, which records were searched, and who is liable for negligence. The main body of the report will provide a mixture of existing and enhanced information.
The reports cover the following:
- The risk of overloaded public sewers flooding properties
- Risk of low water pressure or flow
- Location of the nearest public sewage treatment works
- The basis of charging information and location of water meters
- Water quality analysis
- Water mains adoption agreements
